September 2008: “Mustang Psycho” – Short Film

Actor/Writer/Producer Le Ann Cheri has recently founded Le Ann Cheri Productions. In association with Oriana East Productions and CFIFN , the short thriller “Mustang Psycho” will be shooting October 09 – January 10. This will be Le Ann’s second film, to follow last years “Whispers”. The film will be directed by Le Ann Cheri, Co- Directed by Jenn Mullins of Oriana East and produced by Will Mullins of Oriana East. This film is a loose adaptation of a true story. I am honored to work with Le Ann and Oriana East Productions. I have been cast as Coffee Patron and will shoot my scene in January. Both of these production companies have been taking great strides so expect triumph for this short film.

Check out the following article about Le Ann’s production company:

September 2008: “Lola Takes a Ride” – Short Film

Ever so often the amazing myth of shooting a film in one day comes true; “Lola Takes a Ride” was a film of this sort. “Lola Takes a Ride” is a short comedy written, directed and produced by UNC-W film major Patricia Selznick. Patricia starred in the film that features cameos by Micah Shane Ballinger, DaNae West, Katrina Munday and I. With the aid of experienced crew including Nino and Chad Oliver from “Port City” and exceptional equipment courtesy of the UNCW film department, which included an HD camera and dolly track, this film is sure to be of great caliber. Patricia is hoping to edit the film by this December and have it submitted to various festivals.

September 2008: “Greed, Gluttony, and Warehouse Shopping”

Guerilla Theatre and HighFall films present the world premiere of the short film, “Greed, Gluttony, and Warehouse Shopping” on Oct 16th and 19th. Written and directed by a friend of mine, Angela Kennedy, I could not be more proud and excited for her to see its debut. We shot this film in June with the help of a great cast and crew, and producer Ernie Blackburn, who so generously donated his time and money to help young filmmaker’s dreams come true. This film turned out to be hilarious. I have a copy if anyone is interested in seeing it. It will also be entered into multiple festivals. Keep your eyes out for this great film starring many local Wilmington actors including Angela Kennedy, Kameron King, Liz Pierce, Alex Adams, Dan Donavon, Richard Davis, Steve Caverno and myself!

September 2008: IMPA Police Training Video

After a casting call of the masses, I found out that I landed a role in the IMPA police training video industrial in association with HighFall productions. These videos are realistic scenarios performed by actors that will then be used in a final test for students training to become police officers. I played a waitress in a restaurant scene. This was a short one-day shoot, and I was glad to be a part of something different and something that will also aid in the training of our law enforcement. Unfortunately these will not be seen by the public, but will be viewed by numerous students!

September 2008: One Tree Hill – Episode 609

I was called in to participate in the celebrated sixth season of One Tree Hill. In the ninth episode of season six I was featured as a trophy wife in a scene with Hillarie Burton. It was great to work on yet another season, with new characters and a new guest director. Look for me on Episode 9 in the restaurant/bar!

August 2008: The world premiere of “Zombie Cheerleader Camp”

The independent feature film, “Zombie Cheerleader Camp” was unveiled on August 23rd in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at the Varsity Theatre. I brought a group of friends from Wilmington to Cary, N.C. to stay with my family for the event. As we arrived at the Varsity Theatre there were promotional posters to sign and pictures to be taken. After a year of anticipation, I was finally going to have my first glimpse of a film we worked on last summer. It was a great satisfaction to see the cast and crew’s hard work come together in the finished product. We completed a film, with great production value and lots of laughs, one we can all be proud of. “Zombie Cheerleader Camp” is on DVD and currently seeking distribution, please contact me if you or anyone you may know is interested.

Check out the latest poster for the film.

August 2008: “Port City”, feature film, now in post-production!

Shooting of feature film, “Port City”, has wrapped and the film is currently out in Los Angeles in the editing room. My scenes with Jodie Sweetin and Matthew Laurence were extremely delightful; there is so much to learn from such seasoned actors who are so easy to work with. The talented cast and crew, including “A Walk to Remember” actor and UNC-W alum, Matt Lutz, were amazingly fun to host here in our Hollywood east, Wilmington, NC. I’ll keep everyone posted in 2009 when the film is completed!

Check out the following article about the film published in Star News: http://www.starnewsonline.com/article/20080811/ARTICLES/808110329.

June 2008: WiFi Festival - Wilmington Inside the Film Industry

Sheila Brothers and Wynter Davis, two women who I am proud to call friends, planned, organized, and held the first annual WiFi film festival on the weekend of June 27th and 28th. WiFi brought in a group of guest speakers from across the country, Los Angeles, New York and more. Some of the featured speakers included: Greg Prange, Executive Producer of One Tree Hill; Ken Rotcop, WGA award-winning writer and former creative head of Embassy Pictures, Hanna-Barbara, Cannon Films, and Trans-World Productions; Kurt Patino, Co-Owner of LINK Talent Group; Nick Osbourne, Underground Films (Executive / Producer / Partner), and many more! I volunteered my time for the event and was lucky to be Melody Shaw’s (Assistant South Region Director for Screen Actors Guild) assistant. The festival started out on Friday night with a red carpet gala held at the Cameron Arts Museum. I worked outside bartending in the 50’s (Hollywood’s golden age) beer garden. It just so happened that SAG (Screen Actors Guild) decided to celebrate their 75th anniversary at the WiFi festival as well. The cake was amazing! The gala also included a tribute to legendary Wilmington actor, Pat Hingle. Saturday the conference was held at the Hilton hotel, downtown Wilmington. I thoroughly enjoyed the speakers and learned a tremendous amount of information about the industry from the pros. Saturday evening (running on 6 hours of sleep all weekend) we wrapped up the event and bid our new friends farewell at the Afterglow party held at TreBenzio’s. It was so fun to party VIP with all of the people that made this amazing event come together. This just goes to show the power Wilmington has in the industry to pull off such a remarkable event!

June 2008: “Port City” – Feature Film

Port City” is a micro-budget HD feature film to be shot in Wilmington, NC. Andrew Brown directs and it has an amazing cast headed up by John Wesley Shipp (“Dawson’s Creek”), Matt Lutz (“A Walk to Remember”), Natalie Canerday (“Sling Blade”, “October Sky”) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie from “Full House”). It also features a slew of local talent including myself! I am looking forward to playing Patty, a flirty office temp who comes across as gullible until you come to realize that she knows exactly what she’s doing. My scene is with Jodie Sweetin so I am very excited about working with a “Full House” vet. My close friend and college, Micah Shane Ballinger will be playing one of the principal characters, Jason. “Port City” is shooting July 28 – September 2, 2008. I will keep everyone updated on its release!

June 2008: Acting For The Camera – Class taught by Peter Jurasik

I have recently begun taking an Acting For The Camera class taught by fellow actor, Peter Jurasik, (“Babylon 5”, “3rd Rock From The Sun”). The class is composed of 12 students and takes place for 3 hours every Tuesday in July. I have received amazing feedback from former students of Peter’s and am very thrilled to be enrolled as these classes fill up very fast. So far the class has been great. In the first session we spent time watching seasoned actors who have mastered their on camera technique in reference to use of frame and points of focus (Jim Carrey, “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, Woody Harrelson and Tommy Lee Jones, “No Country For Old Men”). We also spent time in front of the camera, which Peter said would be our main focus as the class progresses. I am looking forward to our work in the weeks to come!

May 2008: Acting Workshop – Cindy Hogan and Rita Manyette

When I heard that Cindy Hogan, L.A. based actor/acting coach, and Rita Manyette, actor and president of Martini Shot Casting in Jacksonville, FL were teaming up to hold a weekend long acting workshop in Wilmington, N.C., I immediately jumped at the chance to participate. The class consisted of five people so it was extremely intensive. The first day we focused on developing skills to improve our craft. We worked on some wonderful exercises and I felt myself grasping new tools to help internalize my acting more than ever. Day two consisted of audition techniques and touched a bit on the business side of the craft. We also had a chance to audition for Rita Manyette. Her and Cindy’s audition/call-back feedback was priceless information! This was a marvelous, informative, and beneficial class for actors constantly striving to improve what they do. I would highly recommend working with these ladies if the opportunity is ever available to you. They spoke of returning to Wilmington so keep an eye and ear out!

May 2008: One Take Film Festival – 2008

On the weekend of May 23 – 25, The Patrick Crawford Foundation held the final One Take Film Festival at Thalian Hall in Wilmington. The One Take Film Festival gives teams 24 hours to create a 3 – 8 minute film with no editing allowed. The reason this is the last One Take Film Festival is because editing technology is so advanced and readily available to the public now, the no edit style regulations are out dated. The Patrick Crawford Foundation will still host The Final Cut Film Festival each fall. This year I participate on two teams to create two films, Blitzkrieg Media and 5 Regular Guys. These films had interconnecting plot lines and were shown back to back at the festival. The first film, “Girls Night Out” was directed by William Redd and featured Karla Pollard and me. The second film, “Call of Duty” was directed by Michael Jenkins. We shot both films downtown to include two of the required locations, the anchor monument and a fire hydrant. I enjoyed working with two talented crews and the finished products were very successful. My favorite thing about these film festivals is creating new friendships with innovative people in the business. I feel that I got to collaborate with immense talent, and together we produced two projects to be very proud.

Apr 2008: “The Bleeding” – Feature Film

Yet another Horror film to add to my list, it is quickly becoming one of my favorite and most frequented genres. “The Bleeding” set up shop in Wilmington in March and is currently shooting. I played the role of a waitress in a diner scene. This was actually set in local favorite bar, Hell’s Kitchen, former home of hit TV show, Dawson’s Creek. It was a great experience to see many former friends from “Bolden”, “The Marc Pease Experience”, and “Privateer” working as part of the crew. With Michael Madsen (Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs) in my scene, I felt extremely honored to watch him work. Charlie Picerni directed and Frank Capra III produced. Rapper DMX is also set to appear in “The Bleeding”. Keep your eyes and ears open for this upcoming vampire flick that is sure to chill you to the bone!

Apr 2008: “Yesterdays” – Student Film

As a college Alumni in the Performing Arts field, I feel that it is very important to participate in student films. I do this not only for my own benefit, but to lend a hand to these aspiring film makers. Students are unable to pay anyone involved in their projects so it is nice to work with a group of people who are in it for the love of their medium, film. I was cast as sarcastic Bailey Rae in Cape Fear Community College student, Katie Grimes’ film, “Yesterdays”. We had a beautiful funeral shoot out at Greenfield Lake in Wilmington, NC. I truly enjoyed my experience and felt much appreciated for my work. I recommend participating in student films if you are willing to share your time, passion and experience.

Apr 2008: One Tree Hill – Season 5

With the writers strike finally over, One Tree Hill is up and at it with the rest of Season 5. Wilmington was happy to see their most famed show at work again. I joined the cast for a few featured roles thus far in the fifth season. I played a Police Woman in episode 513 and will appear as T.V. Crew in episode 516. Be sure to tune into the CW Monday nights at 9pm to catch more episodes of Wilmington’s favorite teen drama, well now adult drama! I must say season 5 brought it’s A game and by far is the best season yet. The new episodes and characters will blow you away.

Apr 2008: Expert Village – Reel Media

It is good to have friends in the business as I once again found out when former Port City P.D. colleges created their new company, Reel Media. Reel Media produces “How To” videos that can be viewed on the website www.expertvillage.com. I conducted two, five segment series on Cheerleading. Please check out as many clips as you would like on the fore-mentioned website. There is a total of about 6 hours!

Apr 2008: "Masquerade"

We are beginning to film "Masquerade". Stay tuned...

Feb 2008Trojan Women 2.0 - Play at The Brown Coat Pub & Theatre

I am extremely enthusiastic about being a part of Guerilla Theatre’s upcoming show, Trojan Women 2.0. This story is a version of Euripides original Trojan Women, but approached in a very artistic and abstract way. Trojan Women 2.0 is written by Charles Mee. It is such an amazing script and Charles Mee actually gives the directors freedom to change and mold his work into something fresh every time it is performed. It even includes some music and singing that is sure to surprise the audience! The story means so much to me right now, being in a country that is currently in the state of war. It is very deep and powerful that an account about a war thousands of years ago can ring true and be interpreted to what many people are going through today. I am playing Helen of Troy, “the face that launched 1,000 ships”, very big shoes to fill! Richard Davis, the head of Guerilla Theatre, is directing, and I’m so excited to be working under his direction. So come out to the brand new “Brown Coat Pub & Theatre” on 111 Grace St. Downtown Wilmington to enjoy the show. Dates are, March 20-23 and March 27-30.

Feb 2008: Masquerade - Film

I was just cast as Sara in the upcoming film “Masquerade” written by J. Kane Drummond. The film is going to be shot during March in Wilmington, North Carolina. It will be directed by William Mullins of Oriana East Productions. My character, Sara, is a survivor of a terrible massacre that happened at her high-school. She is a girl who marches to the beat of her own drum, and you’ll have to watch to see if she makes her way through telling the terrible story of what she’s seen. I am very eager to be working with Oriana East Productions, as they have produced some great work in the past. I am also ecstatic to be working with some friends and former colleagues, Madison Weidberg, from Drive Time, Micah Shane from Zombie Cheerleader Camp, and good friends DaNae West and Katrina Munday. Check out “Masquerade” as one of my top friends at www.myspace.com/lucyspain.

Feb 2008Drive Time with Bruce Cavenaugh

We are at it again this month with a valentine themed edition of Drive Time, and we’ve added in some great new segments this month! It was very obvious this shoot that the cold weather was rearing its head. Thankfully Island Passage provided us with a warm wardrobe. I had an amazing time being a spokesmodel for this episode. It feels great to be so confident selling so many vehicles. After my extensive research on so many cars I feel that I could pick up a second job selling them on the lot! We had some great help with some P.A.’s from UNC-W that ensured the shoot ran smoothly. Tune in to local Wilmington television stations to catch Drive Time with Bruce Cavenaugh.

Jan 2008: Not Another Murder Mystery

I hope to see you at one of my upcoming performances as Marilyn Scoop in Not Another Murder Mystery later this month.

Dec 2007Cavenaugh Automotive Group - Infomercial

A fabulous way to ring in the New Year is with a brand new edition of Drive Time! A special edition with added segments and fun. Island Passage, a high end Wilmington apparel store sponsored our wardrobe. I wore a black cocktail dress by designer Susana Monaco. For this episode we went with a party theme, which was right up my alley! Tune in to local Wilmington channels to catch the January edition of Drive Time.

Dec 2007: "Live The Difference" - Independent Feature Film

Mark Pifer, whom I met at a local Actors Anonymous meeting, wrote a realistic and capturing full length script for a feature film entitled "Live the Difference". After getting a hold of the script I was anxious to audition. Phil Brigman with Intersection Films got on board as a producer and auditions were up and running. I booked the role of Kimberly, a young woman who is the romantic subject of a man suffering a mid-life crisis. Kimberly is an energetic air-head, a light and fun role to get a hold of. This project is currently in production. It is great to collaborate with a group of local artists who are passionate enough to get an independent film off the ground.

Dec 2007: Not Another Murder Mystery - Guerilla Theatre, Wilmington, NC

First and foremost I would like to extend a formal congratulations to Guerilla Theatre and founder, Richard Davis, on the opening of The Brown Coat Pub and Theatre. The Brown Coat Pub and Theatre, which will be located on 111 Grace St., will be the new host for all of the shows produced by Guerilla Theatre. Currently they are working with a full service bar and bar menu. Eventually it will become a full blown dinner theatre. A perfect addition to the performing arts community of Wilmington. The first show to be performed in the new space will be Not Another Murder Mystery, written and directed by local Steve Caverno. I have the pleasure of playing reporter Marilyn Scoop. This comedy is sure to guarantee tons of laughs. Starring Angela Kennedy, Richard Davis, and Kameron King, the talent is endless as well. You don't want to miss the premiere of The Brown Coat Pub and Theatre So join us for Not Another Murder Mystery January 24 - 27, and January 31 - February 2.

Dec 2007: "The Story of Respect" - Short Film, D'Mentd Films

I recently invested in the short film, "The Story of Respect", written and directed by a friend, Mike Roberts of D'Mentd Films. This film is set to be picked up by the BET network. This will be my first project that I have decided to become a producer on. I plan on doing this more in the future mainly because I love film making, and feel so strongly about the craft.

Dec 2007: Cavenaugh Automotive Group - Infomercial

I hope all of you in Eastern North Carolina have had the pleasure of viewing the holiday edition of Drive Time with Bruce Cavenaugh. We really got into the spirit with Santa suits and even rode in the annual Wilmington Christmas parade downtown in our very own float. I'm continuously excited to be spending full days in front of the camera doing what I love!

Nov 2007: “Privateer”

On Saturday November 10th, I ventured out across the river to the beautiful historical site, Brunswick Town. Brunswick Town is one of the many settings for the film “Privateer”. “Privateer” is the story about legend and war hero, Jean Lafitte. Set in 1812 New Orleans, the production is absolutely breathtaking. From the set, hair, and makeup, to original props I really felt as if I were living amongst the pirates. Most of the principal photography takes place here in Wilmington, North Carolina. This version of the film is a trailer, to market the soon to be made feature film. I played a Baritarian Girl, and had the pleasure of working closely with actors Camden Troy and Nathan Grubbs. There's also a make-up special effect director James L. Bills talked me into undergoing. . .you'll have to watch the film to see for yourself. =)

Nov 2007: Cavenaugh Automotive Group Spokesmodel

I have recently had the privilege of being chosen as a spokesmodel for the Cavenaugh Automotive Group here in Wilmington, North Carolina. Two spokesmodels were chosen out of a group of very talented actors to represent the dealership in infomercials, commercials, and at local events. We shot our first 30 minute Infomercial this past week, as it will air in multiple slots this November. It is such a pleasure to represent this company as it is family oriented with a father and son team, Bruce and Matt Cavenaugh. Their marketing director has a phenomenal vision, and production company, Right Point Media, is exceptional at what they do with a great creative eye. Look for "Drive Time with Bruce Cavenaugh" on your local Wilmington television stations. I'm extremely excited about this amount of exposure and feel it will enhance my career options here in Wilmington.

Oct 2007: 3rd Annual Final Cut Film Festival

Wilmington, North Carolina hasn't seen much rain over the past few months. However, this weekend it poured down! This weekend also happened to be the weekend of the 3rd Annual Final Cut Film Festival. The Final Cut Film Festival gives teams of film makers 36 hours to create a short film. Certain requirements are given to the teams to ensure the films are made with in the 36 hours. So rain and more rain, the film makers proceeded on!  I participated in a mockumentary film with Darkhorse Films, consisting of Billy Lewis, Mason Donahoe, Mark Robinson (Best Actor Award Winner 2 years in the festival), and Brandon Luck. I played Sally Bee Bop, a shin kicking contest advocate. Our film was chosen among the top 10, and was shown Sunday night with the other top films at Thalian Hall. These films were all amazing, and I am so proud to be among a group of filmmakers who don't let anything hinder them from making spectacular movies!

Oct 2007: Whittaker Bay – Television Show

Following in the path of teen drama's Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill, new TV Series Whittaker Bay is sure to make network waves. Whittaker Bay takes place in the coastal Carolina's following the lives of a group of privileged teens. With half of a season under its belt it has been picked up by a network up north. Former Dawson's Creek star John Wesley Shipp even came in to direct 3 episodes. I was featured in the 6th episode of Season 1 at a classy yacht club party. Look for Whittaker Bay on television in 2008.

Sep 2007: I Hate Hamlet – Guerilla Theatre

I just landed the role of Deirdre McDavey in the Tony Award winning comedy I Hate Hamlet by Paul Rudnick. This hilarious play is being put on by the locally operated Guerilla Theatre headed up by Richard Davis (also playing John Barrymore in the show). Angela Kennedy is the talented director, whom I’ve worked with before on a few projects. I am very excited to work with this theatre as they have an outstanding reputation for exceptional acting. Deirdre McDavey is a great character, very unlike me, and I am so excited to explore and become her as she is a very delightful young woman! The play is scheduled for September 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29 at the Soapbox in downtown Wilmington.

Aug 2007: One Tree Hill – Fashion Show

One Tree Hill has recently donated their wardrobe from seasons 1 – 4 to Bargain Box, a thrift store here in Wilmington. Local actors, including some from OTH, and myself, will be modeling the clothing Saturday, August 18th. I will be modeling some of the clothing worn by Brooke and Peyton in the show. Come out to the Bargain Box on on Princess Place to buy some of the actor’s wardrobe.

Aug 2007: National Association of Social Workers – Psycho Theatre

Chris Hague of Playwrights Producing Company, also a former social worker is putting on a convention for the National Association of Social Workers. This workshop will consist of many written works by social workers from the student level, all the way up to the Ph.D. level performed by actors. The purpose of this is to show how creative arts can be used in helping patients with their problems, and helping them get their stories out. I will be performing in many roles for this workshop. The workshop will be held at The Hilton, downtown Wilmington. The workshop ended up being amazing and very powerful. I would love to participate in something like this again!

Aug 2007: An Hour Before Supper – Playwrights Producing Company One-Act

It just so happened that the company I worked with on the One Take Film Festival project got in touch with me for another project. It just goes to show it’s all about who you know! The writer of An Hour Before Supper, Chris Hague, called me and said he really wanted me for a role that he had me in mind for while writing the script. I got a copy of the script, and accepted the role of Stefanie, a young lesbian struggling to come out to her family. This will be my first theatre performance here in Wilmington. What can I say; I can’t seem to stay away from that stage even when I try! I must admit I really have missed the instant gratification, and amazing adrenaline I get from live performances. The one-act will be performed with two others at Thalian Hall studio theatre the first two weekends in August. You can contact Thalian Hall box office for tickets at (910) 343-3664.

Jul 2007: "Zombie Cheerleader Camp" – Independent Film

As a former cheerleader I was very excited to take part in this independent horror film. The shots were filmed within a camp site at Umstead Park in Raleigh, near my home town of Cary. Since I have tons of cheerleading experience I taught the cast members some cheers we could use in the film. Being on set for this film really felt like being away at summer camp. My favorite part of this movie has to be my death scene – It is KILLER!

Jun 2007: "Horror at McPhearson Hall" – Full length Independent Film

When I first caught word of the casting call for an indie film in Henderson, NC, I was so intrigued by the plot that I had to attend auditions. The company was Cottonmouth Productions Inc., headed up by Charley-John Smith, a well known actor and director in the area. After auditioning and reading parts of the script my interest grew. In April of 2007 I found out that I had been cast in the role of “Pat” one of the principal characters. I soon packed my bags and traveled to Louisburg, NC to move in with the cast and begin filming. We worked on principal shooting for about 2 months. The writer/director proved to be one of the most creative minds I’ve worked with, and the cast, extremely diverse and talented. Look for “Horror at McPhearson Hall” at Blockbuster, on Netfilx, and at stores near you later this year. (www.cottonmouth-films.com)

The FRANKLIN TIMES from Louisburg, NC printed an article on this film on June 2, 2007, titled "Lights, camera, action -- and don't forget the screams" .

Jun 2007: "Port City PD" – Podcast Series

Port City PD is a locally filmed free podcast series that started in 2006 with ideas from Shaun O’Rourke and Charles Stewart. It is a gritty cop show with some incredible local talent in front of the camera and behind the scenes. In 2006 I was involved in the show doing some extra and stand-in work. It was such a great professional set to be on with really exciting shoots. I knew I would continuously stay involved with a project like this any way I could. Late last year Adam Curry (former MTV vee-jay) backed the show and put it on his podcast network. Now the show is more popular than ever and is viewed in over 100 countries. After auditions for Season 2 I was invited to play “Club Girl”. I took the role with hopes that it will become a recurring part so I can continue to work on this phenomenal project. You can download PCPD on itunes, or check it out at:www.portcitypd.podshow.com. Look for my character “Club Girl” in Episode 201 “A New King”.

Apr 2007: "Bolden!" – Feature Film

Bolden!” began filming early spring 2007 and is planning to wrap sometime this fall. It is a period piece based on the true life story about the father of jazz, Buddy Bolden. I was drawn to this project mainly because I love when true stories are portrayed in films because a world wide audience is exposed to an amazing story they otherwise would never get the chance to hear. I also must admit that I love late 1800’s / early 1900’s wardrobe and hair! Well. . I am saying that at the moment when I’m not in the hair stylists’ chair for and hour and a half, with a corset on! =) I’ve played numerous extra roles in the film all summer and recently landed the featured part of Bordello maid. I have acquired some great friends working closely with the crew and cast on the set of Bolden. Bolden will have a wide theatrical release.

Mar 2007: One Take Film Festival

The One Take Film Festival is one of the many film festivals held here in Wilmington. However this one is very unique considering its number one rule, NO VIDEO EDITING! This can be a scary thing for most film makers but also a challenge many are ready to take on. You get only 24 hours to make your film, as well as a list of requirements that must be included in your film. These requirements are to ensure that all of the films were made in the allotted 24 hours. I played the part of Lucy, in Love Reborn. Love Reborn is a love story about a man remembering his former loves as he is facing death. The writer and director team, Chris Hague and Jessica Stinson are the creators of a local playwright group, Playwrights Producing Company, PPC. They produce the work of local playwrights only. Participating in this festival was so much fun and I hope to be a part of it next May as well. (www.onetakefestival.com)

Feb 2007: “Cabin Fever 2, Spring Fever” – Feature Film

I don’t know how many of you out there have seen the original “Cabin Fever”, but it is a total gore fest! However, nothing could have prepared me for the 250 gallons of blood we went through on set. I played part of Sandy’s (the prom queen) entourage. We had lots of laughs on set even though people were getting killed left and right! After this horror flick I know I’d love to participate in more blood and gore. Check out “Cabin Fever 2, Spring Fever” in 2008 on DVD.

Sep 2006: "One Tree Hill" – Season Four

Moving to Wilmington as an aspiring actress I knew that I wanted to work on the CW’s hit teen drama, “One Tree Hill”. The first episode I participated in was a school scene as a student at Tree Hill High, and after that I was hooked. I had a blast collaborating with the cast and crew on many episodes throughout season four. The most memorable week was filming the prom. Jun 2006: "The Marc Pease Experience" – Feature Film

When I heard two of the funniest comedic actors would be shooting part of their upcoming movie at a local high school in Wilmington, I couldn’t wait to get on board. I had to see Ben Stiller and Jason Schwartzman in action. It was everything I’d hoped for and more. I played the character Addaperle in the high school musical “The Wiz” within the movie. Ben Stiller plays the drama teacher and Jason Schwartzman a former drama student. I must say that Addaperle has one of the most incredible costumes I’ve ever worn! The Marc Pease Experience will be coming to a theatre near you in 2008.
